Brief bio
Prof. Larry Lake, Ph.D., is the Shahid and Sharon Ullah Endowed Chair in Petroleum and Geosystem Engineering. He is a specialist in reservoir engineering and geochemistry—specifically, enhanced oil recovery and reservoir characterization. His work in quantifying the effects of geochemical interactions and flow variability is widely applied in the industry.
Dr. Lake is an author on more than 100 technical papers and four textbooks and the editor of three bound volumes. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), won the1996 Anthony Lucas Gold Medal of the AIME and the Degoyer Distinguished Service Award in 2002, and has been a member of National Academy of Engineers since 1997.
